Guest speaker is Jim Wilson from the St. John Naturalists' Club. He is also the Membership Secretary for NBFN and is a board member
for the New Brunswick Wildlife Trust Fund. Jim is a Naturalist extraordinaire. He has been all over the world birding but will stick to talking about "A Naturalist's Year in New Brunswick". The presentation will talk about various site in New Brunswick good for birding.
April 10 7 p.m. Sobeys Comm. Room Elizabeth Walsh Visiting a sugar camp in Allardville. We tour the facilities from tap to table. Operator will show us the process of making Maple Sugar. We will see how the sap is collected and boiled down to make syrup, maple sugar, and other maple treats. The tour will end with a breakfast of Pancakes and Maple Syrup at the Sugar Camp. 1 p.m. Wayerton Bridge Elizabeth Walsh Guest speaker is Nev Garrity from the Canadian
Wildlife Service in Sackville. He is a wildlife technician. His presentation will be about his bird banding surveys that he did this past fall at Amherst Point Bird Sanctuary. He will bring some of the equipment used in banding operations for us to see, like: mist nests, bands, and banding tools. Nelson Cloud of the Miramichi Naturalists' Club also had a chance to work on this project with Nev and Nelson will be sharing some of the wonderful photographs that he took at that time.
