Sky & precipitation: mainly overcast (100% cover) at start and ca. 50% cloud cover at end with no precipitation all day.
Ground & water conditions: 10 – 20 cm snow cover with some open brooks, but ponds and river mainly frozen except for a few open, fast-water sections of Northwest Miramichi River.
Temp.: -6°C to -4°C
Wind direction and speed: NW, and light (ca. 5 km/h)
Total participants: 15 (8 field observers in 3 field parties, plus 7 persons at 5 feeders)
